I've watched inglorious basterds a good 20 times. I own it. Replay value galore.

The opening act where the Jew hunter sits down with the French farmer is one of my favorite scenes in cinematic history. So much tension. Brilliant dialogue. So fun

Forget the trailers! You know what inglorious is. It's a play more than a movie. And I appreciate it as such.

People want more low brow action but then complain when it's just gore and violence with no substance. Can't win

The second act was my favorite though. Brad Pitt was hilarious in that shit

yeah maybe now that your expectations have changed you'll find a good flick in there.

or not. a lot of people shared your opinion when this movie came out, i remember. and it was all due to the misleading trailers. (which i definitely agree were misleading)

yea idk what i think his best is

all i know is seein Kill Bill in the theatre for the first time was one of the most fun theatrical experiences i've ever had...maybe it was the blunt before hand with friends, but that shit was tight

i think pulp fiction best reps his shit...even reservoir dogs holds up real well to this day, such a good cast

well the second trailer dropped for Django and I am officially giddy over this movie:

this is my most anticipated film. if i could convince my family to go on opening day (Christmas Day) I absolutely would.
12/26 will have to do.

This looks so fucking great.

It's a tie between this and John Dies At The End for most anticipated.

The movie could go either way, but it's based on a book I really like. And Don Cascarelli is ok by me.

Anyway, Django.

Will Smith is an iiiiiiidiot for turning this down.

He really turned it down? What possible reasoning could he have had for that?
Stupid.

I love the Jonah Hill addition. And I love how the Jew Hunter seems to be the exact same character. There are those who will complain that they sat the jew hunter down at a table to have a long motivated and loaded conversation again, but I could watch that all day in whatever setting you'd like to throw him in.

Love that character.

i've watched this trailer 3 times this morning. sheesh.

I think Will Smith has a strict code where he will only play squeaky clean squeakers. I think he insists on having a certain amount of control over scripts, which obviously wouldn't fly on a Tarantino movie.

I read something along those lines once. I dunno.

I'm wondering how loaded a statement it is when leo makes the remark about slaves unanimously joining in open revolt. Maybe another glaringly un-historic climax where slaves take over the world?
