Can you relate to the experience of pondering ambitious ways to logically organize your mental processes, only to be overwhelmed by the fuzz between your first step and eventual goal?

Would you be interested in actively participating in self directed experiments, exercises and brain storms in order to construct models, bodies of knowledge and step by step guides that will serve to ease the fuzzy frustrations of you and your fellow memetic travelers?

The pursuit of knowledge is of course an independent process in the sense that real knowledge can only be put together within yourself, but at the same time each individual is bound to uncover a certain amount of synchronicity between their pursuits and the pursuits of others, and excepting the institutions(schools, careers, cultures) which require a commitment beyond specific practical concern, this synchronized territory remains illusive to the conscientious DIYer.

Sole has fostered interactive learning experiences in the form of contests, remixes, and behind the scenes insights. Informed and intelligent posters make their knowledge available on a wide range of subjects including Music Theory, Ancient Greek Philosophy, Gardening, Literature, etc.

Is there a way to inject these discussions with the tangible objective of creating observable short and long arcs of understanding that can be shared with, discussed and understood by interested individuals within this community and outside of it? How can this board interact with the rest of the web to broaden the pool of knowledge that we are drawing from? What are some specific or general interests/goals of yours that would benefit from the reinforcement of teamwork/collaboration?

I'm interested in the study of phonetics http://www.fonetiks.org/engsou2am.html and how it can help a writer build a rhyming lexicon. Is there a finite number of vowel sounds to build off of?

etc.

really I could go on, but hopefully you catch some of the directions I'm going with this and maybe add some of your own ideas.

I know it's kind of silly to be all like, "yo, let's recruit Garret Lisihttp://www.ted.com/talks/garrett_lisi_on_his_theory_of_everything.html to start posting from his van in Hawaii and teach folks about theoretical physics" or "let's collaborate with dudes from trustfundanarchists.com to create a street art campaign for so and so's record", but eventually the internet will be a more integrated resource and community, it's best to be on top of that shit.
