Jared Diamond's, "Collapse;" I just wanted to recommend this book about the fall of society. There are some great case studies including a piece on Easter Island that is quite interesting. A Professor of mine has a few chapters from this book on electronic reserve at the University of Southern Maine website. If anyone is interested in reading some of these, I can probably help you access the documents. Let me know

It'll be in .pdf. I went to the electronic reserves, and it looks like he took them down. However, give me a day or two and I'm sure he'd be willing to repost them. I'll let you all know.

Heard about this a good while ago...If I remember correctly Jeff Ott of Fifteen was talking it up a bit or something...Collapse is an ecological reality that we must face now that we are running out of our drug petrol and will soon no longer be able to cheat carrying capacity and must come to terms with the overshoot of this fucked up global civilization...No power structure is/can adequately prepare for this...REWILD/RESIST.
