im getting ready to drop this new album. about to launch a kickstarter campaign.
what i want to do is release a DIY album, get a top notch mixing job, have a very interesting and unique final product and hire a very dope marketing firm/publicist to work other non hipstser music blog angles. to almost work the album like its a book. but thats whatever.

the album is called "a ruthless criticism of everything existing" and im looking for ideas on what kinda shit people would want from me.
here are items i have been brainstorming to throw in with various kickstarter things. do you guys have any suggestions or ideas of things that might be cool to include?

-pre released copy of the album when it is released to press, maybe before
-a reader... kind of like laphams quarterly but a collection of writings that inspire me
-bath salts
-cajun dry rub
-tibetan style prayer flags with lyrics from the album on them... (stole this idea from ravi zupa)

-rare live poets vinyl
-original old school photos from 98-2001
-bowls, plantpots, and or ashtrays made from vinyl from anticon era sole singles which are never going to sell
-zip up hooded sweatshirts
-t shirt
-tapestries
-custom voicemail message
-i cook a vegan meal for you and your friends(probably will only be good for colorado)


thinking about selling these giant banners i have been bringing to protests, like this one that was recently featured in the atlantic:

i want to be careful and stay away from dumb shit like coffee mugs or keychain razors... i dunno... i know that kickstarter is a tricky road to take, but im hoping i can strike a dope balance with this....

I want a face bandana for apocalypse times. Somebody can come up with a clever one that hasn't been done before so we can be a recognizable gang of face bandana wearers but we don't ride motorcycles.

do like a limited to 50 vinyl release that goes to people who donate more $$$ for the super exclusive package.

man... im kinda ethically opposed to what unconventional science just suggested.... thoughts? and what is reasonable? vinyl is muy expensive!

I really like the vinyl mold idea.

Original finger paintings on like small 3x3 canvas or something. The content of the paintings could be based on subjects or figures from your songs on the new album. Maybe on inserts in the cd packaging itself.

I'd be into a reader, prayer flags (wish I had picked up ravi's), a tapestry of some sort, and zip hoodies. Haha the cajun dry rub sounds good. Definitely digging the bandana idea.

I'm still interested in obtaining the sole book club thingys on mp3. that might be a nice deal-sweetener.
