Count Bass D has done a magnificent job of staying very Active over the last year with two impossibly good solo albums and is 4 beat cd's done with his 5 part series for 2012. Plus his 3 albums with DJ pocket and his album with Insight from the a few years earlier are criminally slept on.
The constant beauty, musicianship and honesty of his lyrics and delivery are unparalleled in hip hop in my opinion. Plus Madlib is the only producer I can't allow to say Count isn't infinitely better than.

There are very few youtube videos from his releases in the last year but here are a few (not necessarily the ones I'd pick but)

Really, Really, Really highly recommend y'all give the man a chance and buy a cd off of countbassd.com for 10 or 20 bux for a cd.

With the exception of the MF Doom track, I can see every single one of these songs being played in some trendy clothing store in the mall where all the employees wear black turtlenecks. It's pretty surprising to hear so many recommendations like this.

The first three posts are the style I listen to late at night and have done for years. I don't get the turtleneck reference, to me this is totally within in the realms of Anticon sounds.

ikr? if thats the type of music hipsters listen to I need to hang out with hipsters more. I thought that post was pretty strange as well as the dude agreeing with him.
